Grimahlka – And Other Fantasies

posted in: Covers

Grimahlka and Other Fantasies is a collection of long stories I’ve published over the years, which I brought together as an anthology.  The lead story explores a witch’s love for a foundling and pays tribute to mothers of every ilk, including the often-maligned stepmother.

Like Grimahlka, each adventure encourages the reader to discover a hidden truth. In Marie Eau-Clare, the central character pays a price for a taste of forbidden desire.  Yet, when love beckons a second time, she takes the risk again.

Gustav Pavel is also a story about risk.  Scheming to avenge the death of his wife, Pavel confronts a truth that threatens to unhinge him.  As for the shadowy monk in Agent of God, he makes sport of others’ affection only to be exposed to the danger of self-love.
